Abolish Cops and Prisons

We are a group of students at Evergreen seeking to undermine the prison and police system through prisoner solidarity and support by offering educational and media events, holding monthly prisoner writing days, and to organize campaigns against injustices related to police and prisons.

Bike Shop

The Evergreen Bike Shop is a valuable resource for students and community members interested in bicycles. Our mission is to provide cyclists with the proper equipment, information, and a reliable, friendly environment to work on their bikes. We support the integration of bicycles as viable and functional forms of transportation as well as for recreational purposes. We have tools, parts (used and new), greases, supplies, resource materials, classes, workshops and volunteers to help people work on their bikes.

The purpose of the Black Student Union (BSU) is to provide unity amongst those who identify with Black Peoples, while engaging with the Evergreen community through cultural, educational, and entertaining activities.

Campus Food Coalition

The Campus Food Coalition exists to provide a space for Evergreen students, faculty, and community members to discuss and raise awareness of food issues on campus. We will implement plans of action to work toward accurately reflecting Evergreen's sustainability goals and community ethics via our campus food system.

Chemistry and Other Sciences

The Evergreen Chemistry and Other Sciences club's principle functions are a) to foster opportunities for students of science at The Evergreen State College to get involved in community and professional activities, b) to support and promote science education, especially as it relates to sustainable practices, both in the Evergreen and broader South Sound community and c) to play an important role in the social facet of the student body, engendering a sense of community among science students at Evergreen.

Circus Resurgence

Evergreen Circus Resurgence is an inclusive student group devoted to the practice of circus arts. We are an open forum that welcomes people of all skill levels to play, practice, learn and teach at our weekly meetings. We provide the equipment, encouragement, and environment for everyone from seasoned professionals to absolute beginners to feel comfortable trying new tricks and honing their craft.

Clean Energy Committee

The mission of the Clean Energy Committee is to support the success of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resource conservation at Evergreen. The Clean Energy Committee is a group of students collaborating with campus staff and faculty. It carries the responsibility of representing the student body while appropriating the Clean Energy Fund. This fund was established by the students of Evergreen State College to fuel the progress of renewable energy in the Northwest.

Coalition Against Sexual Violence (CASV)

The Coalition Against Sexual Violence (CASV) provides resources and creates safe places for survivors and allies to support one another and to work to end rape culture. CASV works to dismantle the systems supporting sexual violence with empowering workshops, speakers, films discussion, advocacy, education and art. CASV recognizes that sexual violence affects people of all identity groups. CASV strives to focus on intersectionality so that one day all of us will be safe and happy in our bodies.

Community Gardens

Our mission is to spread organic gardening practices to people who otherwise would not get the opportunity to love it; students just out of the city/suburbs, people who live in apartments that do not allow space for a garden, people who are intrigued by the idea of growing their own food but intimidated about trying it on their own. We will provide tools and seeds for your success, both literally and metaphorically. We organize workshops and work parties emphasizing responsible, ecological gardening practices and the importance of local food systems. The Evergreen Community Gardens aims to form a strong and supportive community of gardeners in which all lean, grow and teach each other.

Developing Ecologically Aware Practices (DEAP)

DEAP is a student organization intended to promote sustainability issues, ideas and projects through the practice of permaculture. By creating education opportunities with quest speakers, workshops, and internship facilitation, we nourish an ecology of sustainability. We use and maintain Demeters Garden, a student run permaculture demonstration site, located in the organic farm. We support student projects relation to DEAP in order to increase access to activities and opportunities relating to permaculture and sustainability.

The Evergreen Fiber Arts Club provides a supportive community space for many to come as beginners to learn or as skilled individuals to improve their craft. We seek to empower community members by teaching them practical skill in fiber work and assisting them in exploring the potential of this field of study as hobby, study, or profession. We do this through providing weekly gatherings, workshops, a library of resources and networking with the larger community as a sustainable and intentional manner.

For Racial Justice

For Racial Justice (ForRJ) is a group seeking to confront racism at the Evergreen State College, and our wider community. We wish to assist other campus groups with anti-racist actions, host spaces to address racial privilege, and acknowledge intersecting forms of oppression. ForRJ also looks to celebrate the human diversity overshadowed by racial categories, including cultures and ancestries obscured under the notion of whiteness. Greeners Association for Psychedelic Studies (GAPS)

The Greeners Association for Psychedelic Studies (GAPS) is a group devoted to discussing the value of psychedelics for medical, therapeutic, spiritual, and scientific application. Students for Justice in Palestine

The Students for Justice in Palestine at The Evergreen State College supports a fair and just resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and an end to the Israeli government policies of discrimination and occupation against Palestinians in the occupied territories, inside Israel, and those driven to become refugees by Israeli government action. We also oppose the involvement of the United States government with various dictatorial regimes across the Middle East in general. We aim to do our part to meet these goals by informing our community about and opposing Evergreen's financial involvement with these policies and regimes through their investments in companies involved in human rights abuses.

Student Video Gamers Alliance (SVGA)

The Student Video Gamer's Alliance exists to provide video game related services to the Evergreen community. Our three primary purposes are as follows: 1. To promote social gaming- We hope to help gamers meet each other and form lasting friendships while enjoying the recreational use of video games. 2. To educate the Evergreen community concerning video games and their social, political, and psychological commentary. 3. To create a space for individuals interested in game-design to share ideas.

Vanishing Point is a literary magazine for the students and faculty of The Evergreen State College that showcases works of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, photography, visual art, and music. We aim to accurately represent the range of talent and artistic style while creating an atmosphere of freedom and non-judgment to both our readership and the artists who submit their work. Our intention is to provide an outlet and gathering point for student and faculty creativity in the form of an online print publication. As such, Vanishing Point will provide a rich forum for the exchange of creative works and unique perspectives among the Evergreen community.

W.O.L.F. (Wild Order for Living Free)

By learning, sharing and teaching wilderness survival skills we, the Wild Order for Living Free, will help to create more self-reliant, empowered and environmentally aware individuals and communities. We believe that the gifts of the natural world should be used with respect and reciprocity, in order to preserve the vitality of the wilderness and conserve its resources. Through the basics of wilderness survival, people can better learn to live within the ecological boundaries of our only home, Planet Earth.

The purpose of the Way of Tea club is to enjoy and celebrate traditional Japanese tea culture. We seek to provide a mindful space to momentarily abandon worldly problems and enjoy the simple pleasures of good company and tea.

Womyn's Resource Center (WRC)

The WRC is a center on campus that provides free menstruation products, pregnancy tests, and condoms, as well as houses a vast lending library of books, zines, and DVDs available to all. Our office strives to be a safe place to get information and connect to campus and community services. The WRC group is a student group that welcomes all womyn and their allies. Our mission is to meet the needs of womyn on campus by providing resources, hosting events, and creating a safe place for our members to express themselves and empower one another.

Young Roots

To inspire the next generation to fall in love with their food, connect with their community, and with nature. Young Roots wants to create a safe place for nature-based activities that are educational, engaging, and fun. We want to increase community engagement by creating a structure that supports their growth-both as gardeners and as leaders within their families and communities. Young Roots organizes workshops that emphasize stewardship of the land, gardening practices, and the importance of local food systems. Young Roots aims to form a strong and supportive community of gardeners in which all learn, teach, and grow together. The group also strives to strengthen the bonds between Evergreen, GRuB, families of the surrounding community, and to instill the love of organic gardening in new gardeners, which will last a lifetime.
