Biographical Note

A fourth generation native of eastern Washington, Robert Keatts has been a resident of Walla Walla County for over 25 years. Mr. Keatts holds a BA degree from The Evergreen State College (1973), Olympia, Washington. This is his second book on a specific historical subject and his fifth publication. Mr. Keatts is a life member of the Mason County Historical Society, a member of the Walla Walla Valley Historical Society and has served on the Walla Walla Historical Preservation Commission.  Robert Keatts is an agricultural field specialist. When he is not writing or farming, he works on his collection of postal memorabilia and history, an ongoing activity since 1957.
