Biographical NoteRonan graduated from Evergreen in 1996 and lived first in Chile and then in Ireland. ‘Leaving Chateau Boue’ was a one-act play written by Ronan and Rosemarie O'Dowd for a national Culture Night celebration in 2011. It was performed in Sallins, County Kildare, Ireland as part of an evening celebrating the literary achievements of one of Ireland's national figures, Theobald Wolfe Tone. The event was held at Bodenstown Cemetery and Sallins National School. The organizers of the event felt that it was worth highlighting the fact that Wolfe Tone, his wife and family lived in this small town in the 18th century and are buried in this local cemetery. The local national school was used as the event center and Moat Theatre actors John Mooney and Sarah Gallagher appeared as Mr. & Mrs. Theobald Wolfe Tone in this play, which explored their relationship as Wolfe Tone got caught up in the ongoing struggle for Irish Catholic Emancipation.
