Geoducks unable to hold lead against Corban

SALEM , Ore. - The Evergreen Men (4-12 overall, 1-6 CCC) were unable to keep their first half lead Friday night when they took on the Corban Warriors (8-8 overall, 3-3 CCC) in a 68-81 loss.

The Geoducks led going into the half 32-31, keeping Corban's All-American, Eric Fiegi, scoreless the entire first 20 minutes. Evergreen went 14-27 from field goal range to Corban's 10-21, but unfortunately the Geoducks were not able to get any points from behind the arc while the Warriors put in 4-8.

Second half the Warriors came back, with Fiegi putting down 24 in the last 14 minutes of the game, aiding Corban to outscore Evergreen in the latter half 50-36. Geoducks junior, Pat Mattson, had the team high of 17 points followed by Thomas Cook with 11 points.

The men will continue on the road when they take on Concordia University on the 7th in Portland , Ore. at 7:30 p.m.
