KLAMATH FALLS, Oregon -Some bad food and a strong performance by Oregon Tech combined to hand Evergreen a lopsided conference loss a night after the Geoducks took the nation's top-ranked team to the wire.

Evergreen did not suit up five players as they visited perennial power Oregon Tech, and the Owls routed the Geoducks 83-48.

Pat Mattson led Evergreen State with 14 points while Ronald Rhodes added 10 points.

But Tech put four players into double figures led by Ryan Fiegi's 16 points. Danny Mills and Mike Hansen added 14 points apiece while Levell Hesia chipped in with 10.

Evergreen will break for the holidays and play again December 29-30 as they host Albertson College and Eastern Oregon Uiversity. Both games will begin at 7:30 .
