Men lose a heartbreaker to EOU

LA GRANDE, Oregon- With the game tied at 100 with only nine seconds to go, Eastern Oregon University took advantage of an Evergreen foul that put Jeremy Templeton on the free throw line to seal the win for EOU. The Mountaineers won the game 104-100 over The Geoducks. It was the second loss of the weekend for Evergreen, having been shut down by Albertson College

The Geoducks managed to shoot 60% (39-65) from the field and 55% (11-20) from the 3 point line. The Mountianeers impressed with 65% (38-58) from the floor and 66% (6-9) from behind the arc. Eastern missed just 2 of its 24 attempts (91%) from the free throw line.

Senior Adam Moore led Evergreen with 26 points. Marcus Whittaker had a strong night with 22 points and making 6 of 8 free throws.

EOU had Mark Carollo and Neil Fryer each scoring 22 points. Carollo, a junior made 8 his 14 attempts and added 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

Evergreen hosts Corban College Friday at 7:30 PM.
