SOU Rallies for OT Victory Over No. 10 Evergreen

January 19, 2009

EUGENE, Ore. - Southern Oregon University's Joe White hit a desperation fade-away three-pointer as time expired in regulation to tie the game, and scored three more in overtime as the Raiders upset the NAIA's No. 10-ranked Evergreen State Geoducks, 86-81.

Nate Menefee led ESC with 23 points (15 in the first half).

Humphrey Jackson led the Raiders with 19 points and 7 assists.

The loss comes on the same day that Evergreen jumped from #15 to the 10th position in the NAIA Div II polls.

Evergreen will have the opportunity for a re-match with SOU this Saturday in Ashland. Friday night the Geoducks take on #7 Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls.
