Arvin C. Mosley took reigns of the Evergreen men’s basketball program for the 2010-11 season, leading the Geoducks to a record of 8-20 overall and 5-13 in Cascade Collegiate Conference, despite only having nine players for most of the season.  In addition to his duties as coach, Mosley also serves as coordinator of marketing and outreach for the department.

A 1998 graduate of Central Washington University with a B.A. in English Literature, Mosley was already part of the Evergreen family when hired to take over the men’s basketball program, having served at co-coordinator of the Washington TRIO Expansion Program at both the Olympia and Tacoma campuses. 

Mosley, who also holds a M.S. in Health and Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University, came to Olympia with a solid local basketball resume, having served as head men’s basketball coach at Tacoma Community College from 2003-08.  In addition, he served as head coach and director of business operations for the Tacoma Thunder of the International Basketball League for the 2004-05 season. 

Off the court, Mosley has extensive experience as an administrator as well, having served as assistant athletic director at Tacoma Community College as well as director of outreach and recruitment for the 15,000-student school. 

Mosley lives in Tacoma with his wife, Amber, who is the head women’s basketball coach at Highline Community College in Des Moines, Wash.
