Evergreen season ends with loss to Concordia

November 5, 2005

Olympia, WA - Evergreen volleyball closed out its 2005 campaign with a three-game loss to the visiting Concordia Cavaliers. The 30-20, 32-30, 30-26 sweep drops Evergreen to 5-17 on the season while the Cavaliers stay above .500 at 14-12 overall.

Evergreen's Mattie Blevens led all players with 10 kills in the match, but her effort was not enough to overcome a balanced Concordia attack that saw 11 of 12 players register kills.

Chelsea Jacobson put up 31 assists for Evergreen while four different Geoducks registered double-digit digs. Jesseka Bethke led all players with 21 digs while Kaylene Black, Emily Peterson and Stephanie Cameron registered 15, 14 and 13 respectively.

The young Evergreen squad will return the majority of its team for next season with only two players, Kaylene Black and Elyse Johnston, being lost to graduation.
