Geoducks Drop Game to Seattle University
November 27, 2004
The Evergreen State College couldn't sustain a fast start in losing a 73-49 decision to Seattle University in college women's basketball.
The Geoducks jumped to an early 8-2 lead behind the play of Jenny Olson, who finished with game highs of 17 points and eight rebounds.
But Seattle responded with a 15-0 run en route to taking a 34-23 halftime lead, and the Redhawks never looked back.
The Geoducks shot 28 percent from the field going 14 of 50 on the night. Meanwhile, the Redhawks balanced attack put twelve players in the scoring column led by Ashley Payne's 15 points.
Evergreen will look to rebound when they travel to Pacific University December 4th to play the Boxers at 6:00 p.m.
