Evergreen less competitive in their second season matchup against SOU

Ashland, OR - Southern jumped on the Geoducks early leading by as much as nine just five minutes into the contest pulling away to an unreachable lead the remainder of the game.
The Raiders led Evergreen at the half shooting 14-26, 54 percent, from the field and a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. The Geoducks only connected on 11-35, 31 percent, from the field and 4-17, 23 percent from beyond the arc.
The second half saw the Raiders improve their shooting percentage from the field to 59 percent on 13-22, while holding Evergreen to 26 percent from the field on 9-35 and not allowing a single three-point basket on 12 Geoduck attempts.
The Evergreen State was lead by Ashley Miller with 16-points and Jenny Olsen who scored the first 12-points for TESC but was held to only two points the rest of the contest.
Leading scorers for SOU were Andi Peterson with 20 and Kelsey Richards with 14.
Evergreen will remain in Oregon for a Tuesday night game at Northwest Christian College in Eugene at 5:30 PM.
