Evergreen Downs OIT 3-0

Klamath Falls, OR - The Evergreen Women's Soccer topped conference foe Oregon Tech 3-0 to claim its sixth conference win of the year. The Geoducks got goals from three different players and goalkeeper Carly Stewart recorded her sixth shutout of the season for the win.

Defender Marissa Major opened the scoring for Evergreen as she pounded a header past OIT goalkeeper Nicole Pence off a Jenine Adam freekick. Alisha White opened the Evergreen lead to 2-0 15 minutes later as she took another Adam feed and lifted a 20-yard shot over Pence.

Alice Fox-Dietz rounded out the scoring for the game as she beat her defender at midfield and out-ran the OIT defense before slotting a shot past second-half Owl goalkeeper Jaclyn Unrah from eight yards. The goal was the fifth of the year for Fox-Dietz who currently leads the conference on assists with seven.

Stewart made nine saves on the day for Evergreen including two diving stops in the second period to preserve the clean sheet.

With the win Evergreen improves to 9-0-2 overall and 6-0-1 in conference play.
