Women's soccer loses one; wins one in weekend game action

Portland, OR - Evergreen faced two Cascade Conference opponents at their home fields in Portland this weekend.
Friday afternoon the Geoducks played conference leading, and ranked number five in the NAIA, Concordia University . The Cavaliers tallied their sixth shutout of the season with their win over Evergreen to a score of 0-2. Evergreen held up well to the strong team but was forced to play defense the entire match.
The Cavaliers outshot Evergreen State 14-1 including 6-1 in shots on goal. Concordia had a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks. Alice Dietz was the only team member from Evergreen to make the scoring attempt with 1 shot and 1 shot on goal.
Saturday proved more fortunate for Evergreen against Cascade College and scored a 1-0 win.
Evergreen had 9 shots and 5 shots on goal to Cascade's 5 and 1. Evergreen scored in the sixty-seventh minute when Alice Dietz followed her own rebound off of a Cascade player.
The season record for Evergreen stands at 3-8-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the conference. Their next two games are on the road at Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech this coming Friday and Saturday.
