Late Goals Give OIT Second Ever Win Against Evergreen State 2-1

September 30, 2006

Klamath, OR - A pair of late goals by Oregon Tech meant a second ever win against the Evergreen State Women's Soccer team by a score of 2-to-1. OIT last defeated the Geoducks on their home field in 2001.

Evergreen State (4-9, 3-3) scored at the 76th minute to take a one-nil lead on a tremendous unassisted shot to the right post high in the net from 12 yards out by Jenine Adam.

Tech (7-5, 2-2) rebounded with all-time leading scorer Brandi Bocchi nailing the goal at the 80th minute when teammate Anna Gonzales bounced the ball over the goalkeepers head to Bocchi. That score was followed by the Katie OBrien netting her fourth goal of the weekend on an assist from Bocchi of a header at the 86th minute.

Evergreen is back at home this weekend, playing Corban College on Friday at 3:00 PM and Saturday versus Warner Pacific at 1:00 PM.
