Evergreen dominates Warner Pac team

October 7 , 2006

Olympia, WA - The Evergreen Women's Soccer Team defeated Warner Pacific College 6-0 in today's conference match. It was a win that Evergreen badly needed to keep Conference playoff hopes alive.

Alice Dietz scored two goals in the first thirteen minutes of the game. Her first a solo attack on the goal from 10 yards out in the sixth minute of the game and the second following a long pass by Mira Sussman from the midfield six minutes later. Again the WPU keeper Janette Sears found herself one on one against the talented Dietz who dribbled around her for the score.

Kati Hackenberger scored in the 30th minute with an assist by Dietz. Nina Hinton and Katy Delong scored one each in the remainder of the first half with assists by Jenine Adam on both.

The second period saw Nora Skeele sending a pass to Delong to end the game point tally.

Evergreen plays next on Sunday October 15th when Simon Fraser University travels to Olympia . Game time is 1:00 PM.
