Women's Soccer Puts up a Hard Fight at Home
October 8, 2010: Evergreen vs. Eastern Oregon
In their second game of Conference play, the Lady Geoducks were looking for their first win while at home against Eastern Oregon. The first half saw very little offense from either team with only a total of 8 shots taken from both teams including an offside goal by Sonya Daisley-Harrison which was taken back. The second half picked up offensively for both teams and brought almost double the amount of shots on goal. Eastern however got the better of their opportunities and finished Evergreen hopes of a win by producing two goals, ending the game at 2-0.
October 9, 2010: Evergreen vs. College of Idaho
Coming off a hard loss the day before, Evergreen was looking to redeem themselves against a good squad from Idaho. Although the Geoducks played a much better game than they did the day before, the score didn’t share the same fate. College of Idaho went up 1-0 in the first half and was able to hold it through half time. Idaho then put away 2 more to finish the Geoducks off. The Geoducks fought hard the last 20 minutes, looking for an opening but could only make contact with the bar. The women travel next week to Portland to take on NAIA powerhouse Concordia Friday night and Warner Pacific on Saturday.
