Empowering Our Communities through Knowledge & Action: A Pre-Inaugural Teach-In

Speakers will address a range of efforts to support and empower our communities, and to build inclusion and solidarity on the threshold of the Trump Era. Moderated by Mimi Alcántar (First Peoples), Camila Davila Alvarez Schrandt (student). Panelists include: Catalina Ocampo (faculty) on Campus Sanctuary Movements and providing protection for undocumented students, Grace Huerta on Trump’s promise to eliminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, Larry Mosqueda on the implications of Trump's appointments and cabinet picks, and Carolyn Prouty on the power of grassroots advocacy & coordinated citizen lobbying, and other speakers.
