Struggling to write your Academic Statement or your Self-Evaluation? Join us for a relaxing night of writing, planning, organizing, brainstorming, and tutoring! RAD, Academic & Career Advising, the Writing Center, and the New Student Mentors have joined forces to bring you an evening of support! We will have tutors, mentors, and advisors to assist you as you work your way through the writing and/or editing process. We will also have samples of past Academic Statements. Haven’t started yet? No worries! We can help!

The event begins at 6 pm in the HCC and a short program will start at about 6:10 pm, followed by free-flowing work time or workshopping for those who want a bit more structure. The short program at the beginning will feature Kitty Jones, Director of Academic & Career Advising. She will break down the Academic Statement and share a bit more about what the College is looking for. The Writing Center will be offering a short workshop. And there will be tutors and mentors around for folks wanting to brainstorm collaboratively or work independently.
