Music for Voices, Electronics and Performers
Tuesday, April 10, 2018 - 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Communications Lab Building Recital Hall
Come watch this performance by the Evergreen Experimental Music Ensemble and bid them a fond farewell before they head to Chicago to participate in three concerts celebrating the centennial of composer Herbert Brun. Herbert Brun was interested in how a music composition could be an input to the society it was part of and not just an output of that society, hence potentially contributing to the changing of society in a positive way. Brun also explored novel means of digital-synthesis of sound, in which the smallest parts of a waveform was transformed by compositional algorithms. Doors open at 7 pm. Admission is free. Parking is $3 for those who do not have a current parking decal.
