Director of Facilities
Jeanne Rynne is the Director of Facilities Services. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio. In addition to being an architect Jeanne has also worked as a finish carpenter. Before starting at the Evergreen State College she worked as the Capital Budget Assistant to the Governor and has been in that position since March of 2010. Her previous work experiences include Regional Coordinator of Northwest Washington for the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Director of Capital Projects for the Puyallup School District No.3; Dean of Capital Facilities at SPSCC in Olympia and the Facilities Architect/Project Manager for the city and borough of Juneau Alaska.
The Director along with the facilities services staff support the College mission by following the highest of standards for responsible social, fiscal and environmental stewardship. The department's guiding principles are to:
- Foster a safe and healthy campus environment, conducive to the learning process.
- Develop and maintain attractive, functional, and efficient facilities.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of the Evergreen community.
- To build a better Evergreen for the students, academic, and administrative communities as well as the people of the State of Washington.
