Description: With the modernization of the third floor of the Lab II building, the floor layout was reorganized to create efficient use of space and allows the organic chemistry, environmental analysis, and geology labs to meet program growth. Improvements were also made to floor circulation, accessibility, noise control, and the HVAC, piping and electrical systems. Construction on this project was completed in January of 2005. |

Description: The Daniel J. Evans library building remodel is a preservation and life safety renovation project. Structural, mechanical and HVAC system and program space improvements will be made to the building. There will be minimal changes to the exterior. |

Renovation of the 360,000 square foot building has been broken down into two phases. Phase I encompasses the B & C wings and is underway this biennium (03-05). Improvements will be made to the library, computer, media, photo areas and the building infrastructure (seismic, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.). Funds are being requested in the 05-07 capital budget to complete the second phase of the renovation. This will improve administration offices, classrooms, fourth floor, lobbies & infrastructure. Description: With this project, the damaged roadway will be repaired, motorized and non-motorized traffic safety will be increased, and signage will be improved. The design includes one round about at McCann Plaza, intersection improvement at Overhulse, the roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction and bike and walk paths will be added to both sides of the Parkway. |
