From the Chair
Ambassador at Large
I am an everyday ambassador for Evergreen. Everywhere I go—whether I’m at work, on business travel, on vacation, or running errands—people will hear me share about the value of an Evergreen education along with a story or two about our impressive students and graduates. I can’t help it; I deeply value my Evergreen education and love to share my enthusiasm for what the college’s approach to education makes possible for its students.
Looking back at the foundation’s 2015–16 fiscal year, there are lots of reasons to feel energized. President George Bridges’ enthusiastic engagement in the work of the foundation, along with the board’s embrace of industry best practices, has made the foundation even more effective in its mission to support the college in enhancing, growing, and expanding Evergreen’s educational opportunities for deserving students. With George and our Executive Director, Amanda Walker, leading the way forward and a full slate of 50th anniversary milestones just around the corner, it’s an exciting time to be involved.
I’m also impressed by the difference donors like you made in 2015–16. Recent gifts to the foundation will provide additional student scholarships, grow our selection of student internships, and increase student access to incredible high-quality technology and equipment.
All of us who give can feel a sense of pride knowing that our donations benefit amazing, deserving students who aspire to accomplish great things. I know firsthand that many of those students are succeeding at Evergreen because of our support.
Sincerest thanks from your friendly neighborhood Evergreen ambassador,
