For Graduates

Help plan your graduation: t-shirt designs are being accepted now and undergraduate student speaker auditions are coming soon. Learn more about how to participate.

You must apply to graduate! See what you need to do to graduate and participate in commencement.

Apply for graduation by April 15 to get your name in the program. Participation in the ceremony does not confirm degree completion and is not your graduation date. Graduation is confirmed once all credit is awarded and degree requirements are met.

If you are getting ceremony information and do not plan to graduate this year, let us know through the survey link on my.evergreen.edu so we take you off the mailing list.

About the Ceremony

Evergreen's commencement is held outdoors on Red Square at the center of campus, rain or shine.

The ceremony begins at 1 p.m. and lasts approximately three hours. A reception will follow in the Daniel J. Evans Library Lobby. With 1,000 or more graduates to recognize, we ask that the audience remain seated until the recessional has concluded.  The last person recognized deserves the same support, respect, and celebration as the first.  Your presence is part of the graduation experience for all.  Graduates, families, and friends will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Tickets are not required. Early arrival is recommended for best seating and parking.

Food will be available for purchase on Red Square and in the adjacent College Activities Building.

Can't attend in person? The commencement ceremony is streamed live.
