You can learn more about RAD facilities and housing options here at the RAD main website and below.
Residential BuildingsResidential housing at Evergreen was built in three distinct stages. The buildings that were constructed in each stage are collectively referred to by the phase.
- Phase I: First Year Housing (A, B, C, D)
- Phase II: Apartments (E - U)
- Phase III: Modulars (Mods)
Street Name: Only two streets are used for residence hall addresses. Phase I – III resides on Indian Pipe Loop NW and the Mods are on Wild Current Loop.

First Year Halls: First year halls provide a dynamic living-learning environment with enhanced staff to resident ratios and resources to support students in their transition to college life at Evergreen. The First Year Halls are designed to meet the needs of freshman students who are participating in a dining plan.
Sustainability House: A community of students who are committed to a environmentally conscious lifestyle, issues such as social justice and sustainable agriculture, and related activism. Students must commit to volunteering 8 hours per month. Programming from this community will be directly related to this theme and hopefully provide education for the residential community.
Rainbow Fort: Safe-space housing for students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, queer, questioning, transgender/gener non-conforming/gender querr, and/or intersex, and their allies.
Reduced Allergen: Clean Air Housing is for students who do not smoke any substances, do not spend time around smoke, do not have service/support animals, and agree to work with roommates regarding sensitivity to fragrances.
Mixed Gender: Mixed gender housing provides a living situation on campus where individuals of any gender may live together.
Substance Free: The purpose of Substance Free is to foster a living environment in which abstinence from alcohol and drugs will be respected and residents can be assured that substance use and/or abuse will not be a factor in their residential lives. All residents of Substance Free Housing agree to the following:
- The possession and consumption of alcohol and/or illicit drugs is prohibited in Substance Free regardless of a person's age.
- Residents or guests may not be under the influence of alcohol or any illicit drugs while present in Substance Free Housing.
- Residential and Dining Services expects that residents living in Substance Free housing will confront any substance violations in their living space, hallways and entryways. If this confrontation is unsuccessful, contact your Resident Assistant or Police services.
- Residents who use alcohol and/or illicit drugs in restricted areas will receive a warning and/or be referred to arbitration to be held accountable to the community Substance Free standards. If residents are unable or unwilling to resolve their dispute, it may result in their removal from the Substance Free community.
- It is the responsibility of hosts to ensure that their guests understand and follow the policies and intent of the Substance Free community.
Quiet Housing: Quiet Housing was created for residents who requested an environment that will remain quiet for study, sleep and recreation. Residents and their guests agree to low noise levels regardless of the time of day or day of the week. Residential and Dining Services expects residents living in Quiet housing to confront noise violations in their living space, hallways and entryways. If this confrontation is unsuccessful, residents should contact the Resident Assistant or Police Services. Residents who create a noise disturbance in Quiet Housing will receive a warning and/or be referred to arbitration to be held accountable to the community noise standards. If residents are unable or unwilling to resolve their dispute, it may result in their removal from the Quiet Housing community.
