For new freshman students, we recognize the importance of building community and social networks. We’re excited that you’re considering living with us.
The benefits of living in the residence halls include:
- Students that live on campus are more likely to succeed at Evergreen.
- Small, close-knit housing communities allow you to make more friends.
- Easier-to-find study groups with students who share your academic program and interests.
- Being just a short walk away from the dining halls, where you can socialize with your neighbors.
- Social and educational programming at your fingertips.

The following features are available for any resident:

Mixed-gender Suites: for students of differing genders to live close together, while still maintaining the privacy of their own locking bedrooms.
Quiet: for students who prefer a quieter, academic environment, these rooms require observation of quiet hours at all times.
The following themes are offered on a separate application basis, allowing students with shared priorities to live together:
Substance Free Floor: While all of the freshmen residence halls are substance free based on students' age, this floor is dedicated to providing an environment for students who are committed to leading lives without the use of alcohol or other drugs. Learn more about Substance Free.
TOP Floor: A small group of first-year Evergreen students participates in outdoor adventures and leadership opportunities with The Outdoor Program (TOP). TOP-themed housing is only available by application. Learn more about TOP.
