First Peoples Advising

First Peoples Peer Support Program

Be a Peer Advisor!

Our Peer Support Advisors work in collaboration with the professional staff to assess student needs, provide advocacy, and support students.

First Peoples Multicultural Advising Services (FPMAS) at The Evergreen State College is accepting applications for new student staff for the 2016-2017 academic years. We are hoping to fill several work-study positions as well as one or two institutional opportunities.

FPMAS is a free multicultural resource on campus. We provide comprehensive academic, social and personal advising as well as community building and educational events from an anti-bias perspective.

Our Multicultural Peer Advisors (MPAS) are trained as para-professionals advisors and assist us with all of our events. MPA’s also serve as liaisons to different organizations on campus, perform active outreach activities, coordinate events of their own, work as part of a team and serve as representatives of The Evergreen State College. Our mission is to support all students in achieving their academic, personal and career goals. We offer specific outreach to students of color and are open to all students.
