Student Wellness Services Philosophy of Care

SWS is a confidential student support service for students who have paid the Student Wellness fee (students taking 4 or more credits).

We believe that wellness is central to student success. We also know that many college students are challenged with stress, anxiety, sleep challenges, illnesses, relationships, and overall well-being.

We operate as a wellness center in an educational facility so we do education, advocacy, skill development, and direct care. HOWEVER, we are not like a private practice, primary, or urgent care setting that you may be used to. We utilize a triage model to collaborate across our team to help get needs met. In saying that, we can help you find your path to wellness, identifying which on or off campus resources support your plans to care for yourself holistically as an autonomous student.
