There are ten work units within Facilities Services. Each unit provides unique services to the campus community and work together as a team to provide the best possible learning and working environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors to The Evergreen State College.

All Other Maintenance, Repair, and Work Orders

General maintenance and repair is provided by and funded by Facilities. This includes replacing light bulbs, fixing faucets, and so on.

Utility Services staff of four operators and one supervisor operate the Central Utility Plant.

A work unit of two staff responsible for public works contracts, architectural and engineering contract services, capital and operating budgets, and all accounting functions regarding facilities operations.

Space Management has responsibility for staff office allocation and assignment, campus space inventory and related reporting, space needs projections and planning, classroom and laboratory utilization studies, key issue, office furniture purchasing (furniture purchasing policy) and distribution, academic class scheduling and space scheduling requests for conferences, student activities and administrative meetings.

This unit is part of the Support Services unit in Facilities. Work requests can be submitted for a variety of maintenance and repairs of buildings and infrastructure, college vehicles, as well as furniture moves, and remodeling on campus. All requests related to on-campus Housing, should be submitted to Housing Services.
