POSITION PURPOSE:

Resident Assistants support the mission of Residential and Dining Services to be a purposeful, just and sustainable community by fostering safe, healthy, inclusive, and thriving living environments on campus. We further define this ideal community as an environment in which individuals are positively engaged, respect each other’s values and beliefs, feel a sense of belonging, and focus on academic success.  

DIMENSIONS:

The wood shop is located on the first floor of the art annex, across the loading dock from Lab I, and easily accessible from parking lot B.   A variety of daytime and evening classes are offered every quarter for students of any level to hone their woodworking skills.  Hours of operation vary quarterly‚ so check the schedule before you go.  Programs with an emphasis in 3D design work are allotted studio time in the wood shop where faculty, instructional staff support and aides are present to assist students in completing their sculptural and/or functional pieces safely.  Open hours are also

There are now three dedicated spaces available to VEA students and faculty outside of scheduled program use for critique sessions and presentations. 

The Printmaking studios at Evergreen serve students who are enrolled in Full-time Courses and Evening and Weekend Studies, as well as students pursuing Individual Learning Contracts.

Evergreen’s Metal Shop is located on the ground floor of the Arts Annex, adjacent to Lab I and parking lot B.  Every quarter, programs with an emphasis in 3-D design work are allotted studio time in the metal shop where faculty, instructional staff support and aides are present to assist the students in completing their sculptural and/or functional pieces safely.  Open hours are also available to students who pass a thorough proficiency test.
