Spring New Student Orientation
We are excited that you have made the choice to become a Greener. The New Student Programs team has been working to ensure that your transition to Evergreen is a positive and enjoyable experience.
New Student Orientation, Spring

Within 1 week of being admitted for spring quarter, students will receive an email invitation to sign up for orientation. If you haven’t received this email, please contact New Student Programs. If you are admitted within 14 days of orientation, please plan to attend one of these events or reach out to us for more information.
- Fill out and submit the Orientation Information Form (link provided in the email)
- Complete an online pre-orientation tutorial — This tutorial will become available by February 17 and will provide an introduction to Evergreen's curriculum, registration process, and systems you will need to access as a student at Evergreen.
- Write a brief essay following a prompt which will prepare you for conversations with faculty and advisors.
- Participate in New Student Orientation — Orientation is your opportunity to connect with the faculty staff and resources at Evergreen, learn about your academic options for spring quarter, and engage with new and current evergreen students.
- Create a Greener Bookstore account — Required books for each program will be listed at least one month before the start of each quarter.

You will attend workshops to learn valuable skills that will help you through your time at Evergreen

We’re here to help you get the most out of your education. Advising sessions can help you achieve your goals or set you on a path to a career.
All new students are expected to participate in orientation. Please plan to participate fully in Orientation Week—it will make a difference for you! Welcome to Evergreen.
If you are a student with a disability in need of an accommodation during Orientation Week, please contact Access Services for Students with Disabilities at (360) 867-6348 as soon as possible prior to the events you are attending.
