Biographical Note
Terrill is an associate professor at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, where she teaches environmental journalism and science writing. When she's not writing and teaching, she's jumping horses or climbing mountains with Argos, her 100% pure American street dog.

Part adventure memoir, part cutting-edge research in the science of wolves and dogs, Portland author Ceiridwen Terrill’s new book PART WILD is the deeply personal story of one woman’s life with Inyo, a canine both wolf and dog, a great companion on wilderness adventures but a heavy responsibility, even a danger, in the everyday life of a city neighborhood where her instincts are continually frustrated by confinement. Interwoven with the story are the results of five years’ investigation into genetics, biology, morphology, and behavior, as well as interviews with breeders and rescuers across the country. Terrill also traveled to Russia to study the world’s foremost domestication experiment with silver foxes.
