(1) training the next generation of new zealand tertiary students in mathematics, physics, and computation using
interdisciplinary approaches I learned from evergreen
(2) exploring the quantum nature of matter via astrophysics of the interstellar medium and radio recombination lines with professor sergei gulyaev
(3) participating in the genesis/evolution of radio astronomy in nz, including the involvement in one of the world's greatest scientific enterprises, the square kilometer array or SKA. this forthcoming telescope will be humankind's most sensitive scientific 'ear' for listening to the rhythms of the cosmos.
