Biographical Note
Susanna Rankin Bohme’s work bridges the academic and the activist, the national and transnational, the environment and public health, and history and policy.
Currently Associate Director of Research at Corporate Accountability International, she has taught at Harvard, Brown and the Rhode Island School of Design, and served as Deputy Editor of the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Health.
Toxic Injustice: A Transnational History of Exposure and Struggle, her book on the history of the pesticide DBCP in the US and Central America, was published by the University of California Press in 2014.
Susanna has published in the academic and lay press on topics including pesticide policy, corporate corruption of science, and public health and consumer warnings. She received her doctorate in American Studies from Brown University in 2008.
