Upward Bound

Chief Leschi Graduates

 These proud students have graduated high school and moved on to secondary institutions.



Katarina Johnson a former cheerleader at Chief Leschi high school is attending The Evergreen State College.  Her experiences as an Upward Bound student at Evergreen helped her decide that this was the college for her. She will be pursuing a degree in social work.  She was awarded the Cultural Diversity Scholarship which will help her realize her dreams.




Kaela Casto was a member of her high school television broadcast team. She is continuing her education in media technology at the University of Washington. She was also accepted for admission at The Evergreen State college






Tajaneeque Ryan was the cheer captain in high school and never passes up a leadership opportunity.  Her college of choice was The Evergreen State College. Her determination has resulted in her admission to Evergreen. Tajaneeque will be following her dream to become a pediatric nurse.




Cynthia Parrot is actively involved in her Native American culture as a Squaxin Island tribal member. She was a cheerleader at Chief Leschi and never passes up a leadership opportunity. Because she ranked in the top 10% in her class with a GPA above 3.5 she qualified for early admissions to Washington State University and Pacific Lutheran University. However, Cynthia has decided to attend the University of Washington to pursue a career in law.
