Evergreen is a progressive, public liberal arts and sciences college located in Olympia, Washington, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
We’re Recognized For:
Learning at Evergreen is unlike learning anywhere else. Escape the sequences of disconnected classes and mindless prerequisites. You can enroll in comprehensive programs that explore many aspects of a theme or topic through different but related subjects. Narrative evaluations from faculty replace competitive grades with meaningful and usable feedback.
Without pre-programmed majors, you can design an area of emphasis to focus your education. All along the way, you’ll explain your journey with an iterative Academic Statement.
Evergreen’s tuition is about $8,000 per year for Washington state residents and about $21,000 per year for nonresidents. By contrast, undergraduate tuition at a private liberal arts college can be as high as $40,000 per year.
Our tuition is also one of the lowest among state four-year schools. That's one reason that Evergreen students carry less debt than the average Washington state undergraduate.
There’s just something about being a Greener that you won’t find anywhere else. Whether through athletics, recreation, or the arts, Geoducks do things a little bit better, or smarter, or just differently.
The Evergreen State College exists at a cultural crossroads. In one direction lies urban excitement. In another lies outdoor adventure. In yet another you’ll find homegrown comfort.
