At the time of his death, Ed Kelly was chair of The Evergreen State College Board of Trustees and a Vancouver, Washington, attorney in private practice who was passionate about social justice. The Ed Kelly Memorial Scholarship is offered to a new transfer or currently enrolled student with junior or senior standing attending at least half time who demonstrates an understanding that social justice is an essential element in creating a sustainable future both politically and environmentally. Financial need will be considered.

• Letter of application, not to exceed two pages, that describes how you would or have used these values to affect life as you know it. Include a statement related to your financial need.
• FAFSA or WASFA (see How to Apply #4).
