Kate Napolitan is a former public school teacher and daughter of two retired public school teachers. Her current work focuses on building and sustaining equal-status relationships of mutual benefit among families, communities, K-12 schools, and teacher education programs in order to better prepare pre-service teachers who are orientated towards the students they teach–and the families and communities of which students are a part.
