The Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS) is used for qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis of water, soil, minerals, airborne particulates, and biological materials. The Perkin Elmer 305B is a flame type AAS.

Training and assistance
Training is required before you can use the instrument. Please contact Sina Hill for more information on the required training necessary to use the Atomic Absorption Spectrometer.
Once you have received an operator's license and have your sample prep and instrument methods approved, you can sign up to use the instrument on you own. Instructions for signing up to use the instrument can be found on the Atomic Absorption Spectrometer Canvas site.
