John Withey
Faculty
John is a terrestrial ecologist who studies the responses of native wildlife (especially birds!) to urbanization and climate change. He uses a combination of empirical field studies, modeling and quantitative tools, and spatial analyses using GIS in his work. Since receiving his Ph.D. in 2006 he has taught and conducted research at the University of Washington (Seattle), Lewis & Clark College (Portland), the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (Panama), and Florida International University (Miami).
