Amount Approx. $500 distributed to one or more MiT students.


Need-Based Not need-based


  • Primary consideration given to students who have a proven history of involvement with diversity issues and/or a considered plan for addressing diversity issues in their future classrooms.

  • Secondary consideration given to financial need.


  • A separate letter of intent not to exceed two (2) pages, addressed to the name of the scholarship, Selection Committee, c/o Jazminne Bailey, Assistant Director, Master in Teaching Program.
