Amount varying amounts up to the value of resident tuition 18 credits
Important Information: this is a tuition award. Tuition Awards listed are a waiver of a student’s tuition. A recipient of a tuition award cannot receive funding in excess of the cost of full-time undergraduate tuition. In addition, a recipient of a tuition award cannot use the funding for any of the study abroad consortium agreements.
Offered on behalf of The Evergreen State College Foundation, this scholarship is intended for students currently enrolled in Evergreen’s TRiO Student Success program and to program-eligible new students (first in their family to pursue a bachelor’s, low income, and/or have a documented disability) who have previously been affiliated with TRiO (i.e. Upward Bound, Talent Search, TRiO SSS at another institution). Applicants must participate in the TRiO Student Success program if awarded.
Please submit with your application a personal essay that either:
1) Describes how your involvement with TRiO has impacted your educational journey (such as your academic performance, self-confidence, ability to navigate higher education, and your commitment to completing your bachelor’s degree).
2) That describes a super power you feel you have gained because of your experience being first in your family to go to college, being low income, and/or having a disability.
Essay length: up to one page, double-spaced in 11pt font.
