In recognition of the financial burden of tuition and in solidarity with those students who are completing their degrees at Evergreen, members of the United Faculty of Evergreen dedicate a portion of their salary to support juniors and seniors who might otherwise be unable to complete their college educations. Offered on behalf of The Evergreen State College Foundation, this scholarship is intended for students who take part in community or union service and demonstrate financial need.

In addition, the applicant should be one or more of the following:

  • Facing high levels of student loan indebtedness
  • African American
  • Latinx
  • Native American
  • Asian or Pacific Islander
  • DREAMers and DACA
  • A first generation student, e.g., a student whose parents did not graduate from a 4 year college or university
  • Parent​
