Special Information for Residents

For Greener residents during our winter weather closure.

Because of weather and regional power outages, Evergreen’s Olympia campus will remain closed on Tuesday, February 12. All daytime and evening classes are cancelled.

With this unusual snowfall, there are widespread power outages throughout the area. At Evergreen, if power is lost, our campus backup generators will kick in to ensure you can join folks in the CAB and HCC for food, extra warmth, WiFi, and charging stations. The Greenery is operating food services and housing staff members are here on campus to help.

Please use extra caution on roads and walkways, and avoid walks in the woods, where icy tree branches can suddenly fall. And remember Evergreen Police Services are available on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in case of emergency.

A big thanks to our housing and facilities staff who are working to keep paths clear and remove fallen trees. A portion of Driftwood Road is closed due to fallen tree branches.

If you have not already signed up for the college alert system, please do so. In the meantime, follow us on social media. We’ll continue to work on repairs, watch the snowy weather forecast, and do our best to keep you safe.
