This interdisciplinary program explores the social and psychological dimensions of the digital divide, focusing on how technology access and use vary across different communities and the ways in which access shapes social (in)justice.
Students will analyze the historical and contemporary factors contributing to digital disparities, study the role that technology has played in individual and collective well-being, and engage in hands-on projects to design and evaluate inclusive digital solutions. Through a blend of theoretical frameworks and practical applications, this course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to start to bridge the digital divide and promote social justice in the digital age.
