How can Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) move from limited reactionary interventions to proactive long-term strategies? In this course participants will learn how to develop a multi-disciplinary, sustainable, and contextually relevant approach to DEI in organizations.
Drawing from social psychology, policy studies, and business management, students will engage in interdisciplinary DEI strategic planning appropriate for the level of development and contextual needs of an organizational setting.
Students will explore the foundations of DEI and develop skills to assess organizational needs. Students will develop meaningful DEI actions and strategies to identify and address organizational needs and develop capacity for DEI informed organizational practices, policy, programs, and business operations.
This is the second of two courses that comprise the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Certificate at Evergreen. Courses must be taken in sequential order.
