Taught By:
US law and civic practice have led the US to rely on nonprofit organizations for many important tasks, including delivering social and health services and supporting the arts. But managing a nonprofit requires skills and approaches that differ from either the business or public sectors. This course examines the unique elements of the nonprofit sector, its close linkages with philanthropy and government, and will explore how to manage a nonprofit effectively. This course will benefit students aiming for a career in nonprofit management or interested in serving on a nonprofit board.
