Physics II is an accelerated course covering half of the second as well as the third quarter of college-algebra based physics, including fluid statics and dynamics, oscillatory motion, waves, electricity, magnetism, light, and optics. Through labs and collaborative group work, students will develop an intuitive understanding of the physics concepts and the ability to communicate those concepts effectively with others.
Taking the Physics I & II summer course sequence provides the equivalent of a year-long standard introductory algebra-based physics sequence. Students who have taken or are currently taking calculus have the option to earn calculus-based physics credits.
