In this course, students will explore the evolving landscape of work and the increasing importance of human capacity within organizations. As the demands on employees grow, so does the need to cultivate psychological capital—encompassing hope, motivation, attention, and resilience. This course delves into essential psychological and behavioral theories and concepts that empower leaders and managers to enhance employee well-being, leverage individual strengths, and drive organizational performance toward strategic goals.
This course employs a variety of interactive learning methods, including seminars, group activities, reflective assignments, and final research paper and presentation. Students will bridge the gap between theory and practice, gaining the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to become effective managers and leaders in today’s dynamic work environment.
Conducted entirely online, this course features live class meetings via Zoom on Saturdays, complemented by independent learning activities through the Canvas platform.
