In Public Service Motivation, Mission, and Assessment we learn different motivations for working in the public sector and how those are reflected in organizational missions. Additionally, we consider different ways to assess whether an organization is in alignment with its mission, motivations of their staff, and effects on the public(s) they serve.
Learning objectives:
- Recognize various forms of motivation for working in the public sector.
- Assess organizational missions and if organizations are effective in providing affirmation of employees’ public service motivation.
