SOS: Topics in Social Justice Research offers students opportunities to explore research interests in social justice topics, including: history, contemporary social justice issues, political science, gender, class, labor, and cultural studies. Assignments include a short series of readings and films, and weekly research project development.

Learning Goals include: 1) information literacy and academic research; 2) critical thinking and analysis; 3) intellectual understanding of topic.

Responsibilities include, for all students: 1) written responses to seminar readings and films; 2) research log and annotated bibliography.

For students enrolled in the 16-credit option, additionally: 3) cumulative paper or presentation based on independent and/or group research.
